COMAP Smart Home Privacy Policy

COMAP collects and processes your data in compliance with legislation on the protection of personal data, in particular the Regulation EU 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act No. 78-17 (hereinafter referred to as "Data Protection Legislation").

It is emphasized that the personal data requested from the User is necessary for the proper implementation of the application, the web interface and associated services.

When the User interacts with the Application, the web interface or COMAP Smart Home products, COMAP may collect Personal Data and other information about the User, as described below:

Data Collection

  • COMAP collects Personal Data when the User registers on the Application. This Personal Data includes the email address
  • COMAP may also collect Personal Data through automated means implemented to monitor or operate the Application, such as information about your COMAP Smart Home product, its capabilities and applications, how it is used, activities related to the Application, IP address, browser, etc.
  • The content of the attachments and messages that you send to us may contain personal data.

All of this data is collected on the basis of our legitimate interest in the continuous improvement of our customer relations.

Data Retention

We keep the data that you provide for the time necessary to process your request and the operation of our products and services and for a maximum of 10 years from the end of the services or use of the products, depending on the reason for your request. Any data you communicate to us to inform us of your dissatisfaction with one of our products is kept for a maximum of 10 years.

By providing Personal Data, the User agrees that COMAP may use it and may transfer it from the User's location to the offices and servers of COMAP Smart Home and any other third parties located in the European Union, such as our service providers, co-contractors and subcontractors.

Exercise of User Rights

The User has, in accordance with the Data Protection Legislation in force, a permanent right of access, modification, correction or deletion of personal data concerning him/her.

The User also has the right to request that the processing of his/her data be limited.

The User may also object to the processing of his data. In this case, COMAP will no longer be able to provide the service requested, since the service requires the processing of his or her data.

To exercise any of these rights, the User may at any time send his or her request:

The request will be processed within four weeks of receipt. This period may be extended by eight weeks, depending on the complexity and number of requests.

No payment will be required for the exercise of your rights except in the case of a manifestly unfounded or excessive request. In this case, COMAP also reserves the right not to proceed with your request.

If you are still dissatisfied with our response, you can lodge an appeal with the Commission Informatique et Libertés (CNIL): https://www.cnil.fr/ or any judge or competent authority.

Data Security

COMAP has implemented protection measures in accordance with regulations to protect your personal data. However, COMAP wishes to draw the attention of users to the possible risks in terms of data confidentiality linked to the operation of the Internet. It is particularly incumbent on users to setup or ensure the existence of means to secure their personal computer network, as well as to ensure the correct configuration of the connection box connected to the Internet service provider, and other radio accesses (e.g. WIFI, 4G etc...).

Cookies

The user is informed that during his visits to the site, a cookie may be automatically installed on his browser software. In particular, COMAP reserves the right to install cookies in the computers of visitors to its websites https://www.comapsmarthome.com/fr/ and https://support.qivivobycomap.com/. A cookie is an element that does not allow the user to be identified but is used to record information relating to the consultation and navigation of the user on the website concerned. The user may, if he or she wishes, deactivate this cookie using the parameters in his or her browser software.

As the cookie indirectly collects nominative information about the user, the latter also has the right to consult, withdraw and modify it according to the methods described in this same article.
